Yes Sugar Gliders are legal to own in New Jersey, however there are laws on owning one. First you must have a permit from the state of New Jersey. You can get yo fur permit from the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Here is the state info. New Jersey ~ Legal Permit Needed NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife 501 E. State St., 3rd Floor P.O. Just a hint of advice, I have owned one of these. They will die if they get too cold, are left in a draft or not taken care of correctly with the proper food and vitamins. It is important not to let him/her get cold. No joke that he/she can die overnight if they get too cold. They have sacks and warmers that they can sleep in. I know it gets very cold there in NJ. If you plan on getting one, they are not easy to take care of. Read up on them first and make sure you get one from a reputable breeder.
