Is a guy flirting if he pokes you in the side?

My friend has a guy in her class who pokes her in the side. He walks behind her on purpose pokes her and she turns around he smiles. Sometimes he'll walk in front of her seat stop and stand there for a couple seconds and leaves. There both in the same grade and she kinda knows him
