Salads are great meals for low calorie diets. But sometimes salads can leave people hungry after eating so they continue eating snacks throughout the day which adds unwanted calories to the diet. A good suggestion for a quick and easy low fat, low calorie diet is chicken breast with a side of quinoa. Chicken breasts can be made any number of ways which keeps the taste buds happy and keeps you full. Quinoa has more flavor then just brown rice and you can add the same sauces.
Low Calorie Meal: 6oz chicken breast (seasoned the way you want) 1/2 cup quinoa. 1 cup green tea with no sweetener
Cottage cheese with some pineapple mixed in. and a can of tuna fish, you don't need to mix mayo in with it and make a sandwich, just plain is better for a diet. a snack bak of almonds or some other kind of a nut.
Bread isn't low cal. Stick to vegetables. Some vegetables, like corn, are higher in calories than other vegetables. Left over skinless chicken breast is a good choice. I buy boneless skinless chicken breast at Costco because it's cheaper there. The package contains several portion packs that come indiviually wrapped with two breasts in each individual portion pack. I put the extra portion packs in the freezer until I'm ready for them. If you really want to lose weight, you have to avoid red meat like the plague. Make salad your best friend.

Roasted turkey with tomato, cucumber, and onion on wheat bread. Mustard is the healthy choice to put on it. may sure you buy the lower cal bread. the bread I buy is 90 cal. I have to have 2 fruits, 2 starch, 1 dairy, 2 fats?1 protein, and 2 veggies a day to stick to my diet. it works great
What is really filling is an egg white omelet (each egg white is roughly 20 calories) filled with steamed broccoli and some grated Parmesan cheese. Sometimes I add a bit of light margarine to it. If you'd like to make a sandwich out of it, try the 100-calorie flat breads made by Arnolds ( and also I believe by Sara Lee).
Progresso and Campbells both have a great variety of soups - my husband loves the turkey green chile flavor by Campbells and I love the fiesta chicken tortilla flavor (I'm not too sure about the names of those, but hopefully it's close enough). I like to stock our pantry with a variety so we always have a quick, low cal meal on hand.
