Can someone explain this? (Read the details)

Someone at school was talking about something that was believable, but we were pretty sure was a lie. The teacher responded by sarcastically saying "Mr. Anderson." What is that supposed to mean?

The term mr. Anderson is a quote from the movie the matrix. Mr Anderson is also refered to as neo.
