Does getting your braces off hurt?

Im getting my braces off soon so does it hurt? What does it feel like?

It doesn't hurt. It feels slimy at first, but your lips feel better immediately

I think it does it does you will have soreness for a week or 5 days ?

nahh. It's like getting the 'rubber bands' (colored) changed. You can't feel it! I had braces on for 2 1/2 years and I had them off for another 2. The pain in the first two weeks of getting them on is unforgettable. Drinking water turns to living heck.

I guess it depends on your orthodontist. It didn't hurt when I had mine removed. You should do fine. :) Good Luck! :)

YES OMG IT KILLS!!! Have fun babe:) I had to get 4 taken of & put back on:/ I have braces on for another 3-6 months & I have to get them taken off again. Uhhhhhh

It hurts more originally getting them on then off, your teeth will be sore for a day or two and it will be over

It will feel weird cuz ur not gonna have something pushing ur teeth together but hopefully It won't hurt alot

At first it hurts because they sort of break or bend the things around your teeth in the back but after it feels a lot better and relaxing
