i usually read the summary of a book i never read and change it and bam i have a small idea and i change the idea and then bam i have completely new idea and no one would figure it out
if you dont like that idea sometimes great ideas come to you at odd times, i was working once i the middle of something and took a break to write it down
ALWAYS WRITE YOUR IDEAS DOWN, i wrote an idea down once and lost it and forgot the idea luckily i told my friend about it and she told it to me so when you write it down try not to lose it.... it sucks when you do

If you're a true writer, you come up with them yourself through life experiences or people you meet.
Explore places you normally don't go, even if it's just the forest near the local playground. Go outside, stay inside, read books and be creative. How I get ideas for my stories are building Legos. I know it sounds weird, but I would just build something and BAM! That would be something in my story.
think about the things you like and put a twist on it
When you have a dream tonight, try to remember what it was about and then write about it, make it into your story. change the names or place if you want though. :)
honestly, they just come to you. You can't force a good idea. It just comes to you. I literally had writers block for 5 months before I came up with an amazing idea for a novel that I'm writing right now.
I have to agree with cutsandscars. It will come to you. I have a friend whose dad is a writer. When he's eating lunch or looking at pictures on the Internet, if someone asks him what he's doing he'll say "Working." Just listen to conversations and things around you for plots, characters, and anything else you would need for a book.

Well, what I usually do is find some inspiration for writing- no matter if it's a story or a poem. That works for me all the time! :)
well first tell what comes from your heart then just make it into a inspirational story and then you publish and let its title be i'm homeless and i know it LOL JK
one of the good ideas is to search about things you like
I usually try to think of the main character first then I build the story around the character.
Think of some dreams you've had and see if they'd make a good plot. Reading a book passage or a poem is a good inspiration. What i do sometimes is watch the news and imagine crazy conspiracies about the different news items. That usually works.
