Well, I have several. The Book Thief was amazing. Told by death himself, about a girl in Hitler rule Germany. Anything by Dean Koontz or Stephen King, SK's amazing series The Dark Tower, is based on the worlds last gun slinger and his adventures. DK's Frankenstein series, is based on a modern Frankenstein and well written.

Catherine Coulter has an FBI series that is really super, one of my favorites. I also like James Patterson, and Mary Higgins Clark.
