The most obvious answer is that this country can project military power anywhere in the world. We have battle groups that patrol the oceans that answer to no one but the US. If some country tries to get silly we can within a few day have a carrier group parked within range to give them something to think about. There is no other country on earth that has the same ability to project power on the same scale. Are we bullies?If you're one of our enemies it would seem do to you. And if your our enemy I really don't care what you think. If you our friends then trade with us and get rich because we love to buy things. That's the second thing. We are also a great economic power to match the military we have.

We have money (not as much as we used to), we have freedom, we have a great military, and we have power.
That fact that we're so unique, mostly everyone from every country lives here, and we have the best history.
Since WW2 we've had the most powerful military in the world. During the war we helped to prevent the Germans from taking over Europe and north Africa. We helped to prevent the Japanese from taking over Asia, and we ended the war by dropping atomic weapons on Japan.
During the Cold War we kept the Soviets from taking over all of Europe without firing a shot.
We're a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
We put 12 men on the Moon and brought them all home alive.
I'd say we deserve to be central in the world.
Would you prefer Plan B? We were going to invade Japan, how many would've died then? Plus, more people died in the fire-bombing of Tokyo than in Hiroshima of Nagasaki. You'd rather we kept on fire-bombing? Get your facts and your history straight.
Because America is the only country who pokes its nose in the affairs of all the countries, You should know that U.S. is the only country who has used ATOM BOMB and in last 20 years U.S. is responsible for the killings of more then 2500000 people and suffering of more then 20000000 people, Do you call it power then yes US IS MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY AND THE PEOPLE WHO TOLERATE THIS ARE THE WORST PEOPLE.
