Why do sims 3 babies automatically turn 6 when born

when i have a baby on sims 3 it automatically turns six when its born and i want it to be an actual baby when its born how do i do that

Because that's the way they made the game. lol i love that game!

Because this game is so realistic but so unrealistic at the exact same time. ah, the wonders of video games.

I don't play Sims but I know my video games.
It is a script, either intentional or accidental. Perhaps they don't want infants in the game for some reason. Your guess is as good as mine.

I play the sims and when my sim has a baby it stays a baby for like 5 days and them turns into a toddler for somewhat days then a kid teen adult elder them dead so if your is born and immediatly turns 6 you have a problem with your game
