Are you upset by the lifting of protection of wolves in some places? There are better ways of accomplishing protecting cattle and livestock.

One state hired trackers that tracked the packs and ran them off when they got close to livestock. Why are we going backwards in protecting these beautiful animals?

Only those people who live in counties where wolves are or are likely to be present should be able to vote on the degree to which they are protected. Statewide bans get pushed through on the votes of the densely populated cities, where people feel no danger or deprivation from bears, cougars, or wolves and just think they are "pretty" and "natural". Which they are, but it has to balanced with the fact that they are deadly and destructive.

The decision to lift the protection was based on consideration of human protection too. The wolves have grown in number and thus there is a looming ecological conflict with human. The lift will be rescinded once there has been a lid on this. For more information, visit http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/can-vulnerable-wyoming-wolf-populations-thrive-without-us-protection.

It is just my belief that any claim that wolves are dangerous to humans is just a spurious argument to get people to lift wolves' protection through fear. I understand that you were just giving me information and I thank you for that. My concern was a state in the lower 48 that just recently lifted the protection. Thank you for the site information.

I believe that the people who are affected by something should make the decision to do something about it or not.
