What do you guys think about the multiverse theory?

its interesting to me. thanks for your thoughts and time.

Until the "big bang" was discovered there was an apparent contradiction in Genesis..
Science by definition is defined by observing the "natural" universe. Since the big bang resulted outside of this , the big bang by definition had unnatural causes or Supernatural causes .. Ie: God.. "a singularity" moment.. A God moment. Science celebrated this discovery until they realized it had a "God moment implied"
Science scrambled to create new theory's .. Steady State theory
( which was debunked). Then the multiverse theory .. Which by the way is not theorized by empirical evidence or experience which science is suppose to use .. But by a philosophy of the "no God" of science by definition.. Even Peter singer ( leading atheist) concedes this point and says.. "Well we don't know but in 50 to 100 years probably we will" hence.. Science ,like evolution, has become a God of the gaps for the Atheist.
What I find most humorous about this theory "besides" the absence of ANY empirical evidence or observation is our inability to ever see beyond the
( CMBE ) - Cosmic Microwave Background Emissions..
What does this show?? it shows that science has a a philosophy behind it.
a "no God" philosophy, even if it it means positing a theory that has no empirical evidence or observation to support its claims.

Great answer. It is not even worthy of the term 'theory' as it is total imagination as you point out.

Thank you and yes, it's a sad "guess"
Indeed.

No just the theory.

Even if it's true it doesn't matter.

Interesting, how can it not matter? If t is true we can find a way to link to another universe and learn new things.

Well if it existed wouldn't another universe have already discovered it and paid us a visit? Theories distract us from the already plentiful problems humans currently have. I try to stay focused on real time situations, wether we acknowledge problems or not they happen. So i try to solve the problem that currently exist. However small they may be

All the problems that face us are never going to be resolved we will never live forever. Humans cannot rule each other. Socrates believed that the only way for a government to work would be if the main leader were a philosopher.

You should stay on topic. You went from multiverse to Socrates. Try to stag in the same century. Lol

Hey Gid..
See my answer...
It is "imagined" by science. Based on nothing but "speculation"
-- as for fuzzymonkey... I think He should also study Aristotle and Kant ...
Especially in the areas of the "pre-conditions of experience" when asking about a theory such as "multiverse"
It appears that fuzzymonkey has a lot of "unproven"pre-commitments to naturalism that must be dealt with before he can "stand" on the shakey ground of "naturalism".

Sometimes I think about there being a universe inside every book and our universe or maybe each one of us is a story in a book in another universe.

There can be another universe put into our universe, as it is possible. This will expand everything. Our universe is already expanding and there is life from other communities in another universe besides ours really. It's quite confusing to me, but it all has interesting facts :)

Hi, talk out of your ass much?

Why are you so hostile?

the multi-verse theory or "string- theory" is great. It certainly would explain De'ja vu. Deja vu seems like a moment in time that happened in another universe and you in this universe are just now catching up to it...
