How do you tell a person if he/she have a bad breath?

Without hurting him/her

If it was someone close to me, I would rather that you told me versus me walking around grossing people out. You could broach it as a health concern. Tell them you've noticed lately that their breath is stronger than usual and you wanted to let them know in case it was a sign of dental disease. They're going to be embarrassed. If you're kind about it, they should get over it.
If it's a casual acquaintance or work person, go the gum route.

If you tell them it will probably hurt their feelings. So instead of telling them offer them a mint or gum.

Well, I believe that there is more than one person for everyone. Just because you really liked her doesn't mean a new woman won't come along that you don't find an even better and stronger connection with. Don't let it get you down. Just try and move on and in time someone who is right for you will come along.

There is no proper way of telling a person they have bad breath without hurting them as this is a personal issue though you could hint at it without being blunt. You could repeatedly offer them fresh breath mints or bring up the topic of dental hygiene in their presence until they get the hint.

Keep gum on you and when they are around, ask if they would like a piece. If you keep doing this then maybe they will get the hint.

Carry 2 packs of your favorite gum in your pocket and every time you see him you take out both packs and you stick a piece in your mouth then put your pack back in your pocket as you give them a whole back -- and - say - Here have some gum -- keep the whole pack .

If it is a spouse...talk to their doctor if it your child be blunt you don't want that to be something they could get bullied for.

I used to have to work in relatively close proximity to a guy who had bad breath. I used to pretend to take a mint and would offer him them constantly.

When they talk to you. Use your hand as a fan and waft the smell away while saying " man, your breath stinks!., Eww.."
