What vitamins/ home remedies can i give to my puppy with parvo?

So my puppy has parvo. He has been to the vet who gave him his 3 main injections for the virus, and then two the next day. I couldn't afford to keep him in the vet but they said he doesn't need the injections anymore. They gave us one antibiotic which is now finished. He still doesn't have energy and is not eating on his own. I keep him hydrated with electrolyte, water, honey and tea and attempt the feed him boiled chicken. I need other remedies I can use to get him better one hundred percent. He has made it this far( nearly two weekes) so I'm positive he will live.

The best home remedy for treating Parvo is by keeping your puppy hydrated. You can also add to the water apple cider vinegar or activated charcoal. These helps in killing off the virus at the same time. Your dog can also be put on Cerenia, Metronidazole or Proviable. You should continue seeking medical advice from your doctor on the best remedies to prevent any medical poisoning. Check out http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/heal_parvo.html for more information.

I saw on the net that colloidal silver helps. I started giving it to him yesterday and in a few hours he was already improving. He is now eating and walking around. I am so happy.

If you can't afford proper vet care for your pup you should really, find him a new home where he can get the care he needs. He is suffering and needs vet attn. ASAP!! I'm not trying to be mean but, REALLY?? Don't you think he deserves it?!

I don't think anyone has $3580 for a 1 night over stay. I have taken him to the vet for all his parvo shots which costs me $1200 so don't tell me I am not caring for him properly. Maybe you would understand if you went through it?

I don't know where you live but, if that's how much you are paying its not right. I have gone through it so, I know if your dog has had its vaccinations it doesn't have parvo.

No it was still too young to have it's vaccinations( 4 weeks) but I took him to get the treatment shots. Well, I'm not too sure because I converted from rands. He is healthy and back to his normal self :)

This answer and comments from stonewashed are ridiculous!! Dont you have any thing better to do than to tell the owner that she needs to give up the dog that she has emptied her bank account on!! She has done everything she could to cure this puppy and you continue to argue over whether or not the dog has parvo! Unbelievable.

Wow thank you! Someone with some common sense!

Keep him hydrated and comfortable. Try getting some vanilla pudding or rice pudding, that might help him eat on his own! :)

Pseudo vets on "Ask.com" is the wrong place to find help for your puppy. If you have a brain use it and call a veterinarian. Or you will be getting another dog! Jeeze

He survived the virus and I did it on my own. All i did was take him to get 5 shots and the rest I did with a lot of love and nurturing. So leave the nasty comments out okay :)

And if you read my description properly, you would see that I did take him to the vet :)
