How am I related to someone who is my aunt(who is related to my dads brother) sisters daughter? Are they my cousin or are we not related?

I am trying to convince my cousin who is the child of my aunt, that his cousin(from my aunts side of the family who is in my family because she my married my dads brother) is not my cousin. am I right?

It depends on if your aunt is your dad's brother's wife. If so, cousins but not by blood. If not, yes.

If you are related to your aunt only by marriage, you are not related by blood.

well I guess she's your cousins' (if any) cousin, am I right? or you may like to consider her your uncle's niece ( just as you are!), only because she's his wife's niece. Happy Cousins!.. but I made it artificially :P
"cousin-in-law", it wasn't bad

Your Dad's brother is your UNCLE. His wife is your AUNT by marriage (your father's SISTER IN-LAW). Their children are your BLOOD COUSINS. Your AUNT has nieces and nephews which are cousins to your blood cousins but are your COUSINS by LAW. NOT by blood . Thus you can call them cousin if you want to. OR if your parents indicate they want you to; so that it does not become confussing. And so that everyone feels apart of the family.
