Agree or disagree that humans have been successful because they are able to change the natural environment?

humans are successful because they evolved large brains, prehensile thumbs and the ability to stand upright. That enabled the ability to use tools, develop intelligence, and adapt to different environments. Add the ability to communicate complex ideas, and a social structure, and we were set for dominance.

Disagree. we have been successful because we adapt to the environment around us. We cannot truly change it.

Agree. We have CHANGED the environment so much we're RUINING it.

I wouldn't call that success. We as a species have done more damage to the enviroment and the planet then any other.

Disagree ... same as davidNS5.

If it was because we could change our environment ... our species would have died out thousands of years ago (before we were able to invent agriculture, even).

When we "successfully" change the environment it is usually by cutting down all the trees.

We survived because we were able to migrate to areas which still had some trees. Of course, Easter Island is an exception. Oops?
