As the distance between two masses increases, what happens to the gravitational force between them?

Report as

It will increase exponentially. So if you double the distance between them, then gravity will be 1/4 (since 2^2 = 4). If you triple the distance between them the force will only be 1/9 as strong (since 3^2 = 9).

you mean decrease exponentially

Yep, you're definitely right.
Sorry!!!
The numbers above are accurate, but the wording should have read that the force will decrease exponentially.

Decrease exponentially. Like above, just decrease.
