Why is everyone obsessed with One Direction?

Like...i lost a friend because I said "I hate them"... Like really people?

Wow that's really mean of her to do. I like them but people are obsessed with them because they are hot, British, and are really good at singing. A lot of bands or singers have people that are obsessed with them. Im not obsessed with them though.

I love them but for your friend to break a friendship with you over an opinion is kinda stupid. If someone said that to me I wouldn't really care because thats what you think and it shouldn't be such a big deal.
