How long does it take for muscle soreness to go away?

Usually only a day or two. I recommend working sore muscles. It will make you even stronger!

Depending on your immune system it can take up to 1-2 weeks and minimum of like 2 days!

Usually depends how much tearing the muscles have gone through, or how much you work them. An average day at the gym should usually only last 1-2 days but it could vary from person to person

If it lasts more than 3 days, it could be rheumatism. A good friend of mine from my gym had that happen 5 years ago. She thought she was just extra sore from boot camp class, but it didn't go away for almost a month, & it turned out to be rheumatoid arthritis.
