How do i do this?

A triangle has sides of 24,and 26. in order for this triangle to be right, what is the length of the third side?A) 5 B) 10 C) 1 D)12 ive been so out of it lately and have NO idea how to do this(:

In order for the triangle to be right, the length of the other side is 10. You will use the pythagoream theorem to find the other side's length. The formula to use is a2 + b2 = c2, where in this case you will substitute the sides in the formula to make it 24 squared plus b2 equals 26 squared. You will then simplify the equation to get 10 as the answer.

C. 10 because 10^2 + 24^2 = 26^2
