We outsourced not only jobs but the technology and in some cases the entire factory to china and india. They have less labor laws, child labor, therefore reduced costs in making things. People work for pennies on the dollar, live crammed into housing built especially for the factories. This takes millions away from their families so they can work 6 ands half days a week in order to send a pittance home to their families . They can then sell the stuff back to us for less than we can make it for. Also, china is guilty of stealing the technology we didn't 't give them. Also the black-market in trade marked goods booms and china enforces few laws where patent law is involved.
China invested in manufacturing equipment while the US phased out the majority manufacturing. Chinese labor is cheap and they can modify tooling easily and quickly to meet the design demands. The reality is that big business is giving our working class jobs away so you can get cheap plastic disposable garbage instead of quality items. It's the American dream!
30 years ago, the question asked had the word "Japan." And 15 years ago, it was "Korea." The point is, capital flows to where it is safe and where labor is inexpensive. This describes Asia in general, as long as capital is secure.
Because Clinton gave them our missile secrets and allowed free trade with China. They on the other hand charge huge taxes on any American imports in their country so our stuff doesn't sell so well there. They are now also able to send missiles to some of our cities when they couldn't get them off the launch pad prior to Clinton's treasonous act. Another Democrat boondoggle.
Because its cheaper. Companies can pay workers in China a lot less. It's not because China has an edge in technology. Because in reality they don't have much technology. They lag in that area behind other countries.
