How do I know if I'm registered to vote?

I was leaving work the other day and there were people walking around with clipboards asking people if they were registered to vote, and, if not, if they would like to fill out forms to register. so I gave this one girl my info and she said she'd take care of it. I haven't heard anything about it since; where can I go to see if I've been registered or not?

Your state or county should have a form you can fill out and mail in or do online. I would not recommend giving your information to a person on the street. They could be legitimately signing people up or they could be looking to steal information. You do not have to register with a party but you will have to register Republican or Democrat to vote in the primary. You must also be 18 years old, a citizen, and can not be a convicted felon.

If you asking that means you don't registered. Go online and register as soon as you can before October 9.

Your State should have a State Board of Elections website. Once on the website, you can enter your name, dob and zip and if you are registered to vote, all of your information will come up (complete address and when you registered to vote). You can do a basic Google search to find your State's Board of Elections website by entering: register to vote + your state name.

Phone a party office or the representative in your area and he should tell you where to call. He may even have you on a voters list.
