Am I still responsible for medical insurance for a 19 yr old if my guardianship ended at age 18 and he doesn't live with us anymore?

Current insurance laws require health plans to cover children up to age 26. You are still legally obligated to include him in your plan until he is 26 years old regardless of whether he is staying with you or not. See www.healthcare.gov/law/features/choices/young-adult-coverage/index.html for details.

I wasn't aware "guardianship" ended. I thought once you had "guardianship" over a person it was permanent until death of the person????

Yeah.

The judge has written and notorized our guadianship papers that we are only responsible till the age of 18. And according to the courthouse, because he is over 18, this case is closed.

I don't think you are required, unless they go to college. But if they get a job that offers health insurance, then you can cancel your coverage.
