Is a YouTube video worth kiIIing people over?

Three Americans, including our ambassador, were murdered last night in Libya, over a silly 14 minute Internet movie. Is this the thanks we get for helping them get rid of "K'Daffy"?

Hey Tony (tis REC). The film purported to show Islam and its prophet in an unflattering light. It is against Islamic law to portray the prophet in pictures or other art forms. Moderate Islamists probably were just as horrified as we are about the attack, which seems to have been carried out by extremists bent on hijacking the democratic process through intimidation and murder. They don't think as we do so.........

There's no such thing as a "moderate Islamist", that's an oxymoron, but yeah I expect moderate muslims to be outraged by this attack ... will they march in the streets demanding justice for those Americans murdered? Or will they stay quiet for fear of reprisals (or sympathy for the kiIIers)?

There is no excuse for murder. Wether it's a YouTube video, song, or even a threat. This is terrible. And I feel bad for their family.

I want to say no, but didn't Justin beiber get famous that way. I joke because being logical makes no sense to somebody that believes that way. Then have a whole country that believes its crazy religious leader. Nuts.

Yes and no Tony. If the head Imam came out and told the people that a foreign film with a picture of Mohammed wasnt a big deal and that we(Muslims) should just worry about ourselves, do you think it might be prevented.

The worst part is, that our country, may charge him with a crime, for what he did. They say free speech stops when you yell fire in a crowded movie theatre. Libya has become more radical, since the demise of khadaffi. And so has egypt. Hurray for democracy!

I do too. To have sooooooo much hatred, is not good for the health. If some of these countries don't want us involved in their business, They should also not worry about our business. And that includes the you tube video. Don't people ever get tired of being offended at every little thing?

Some people just THRIVE on being offended. Offended by cartoon drawings in a newspaper for example, but are they offended when one of them kiIIs a cartoonist? Or a filmmaker like Theo Van Gogh on Holland?
