Do you know any great remedies for headaches?

My head is hurting me. I need to finish my homework because I can't miss school tomorrow. Not tomorrow of all days. Thanks!

Try stretching and moving around. Take any undue pressure off your neck. A lot of headaches are caused by poor posture and neck tension. Take some advil (not on an empty stomach!). Drink some water. Let your eyes rest. Make sure you have ample lighting for reading and writing. Take deep breaths and try to let the stress go. Stress causes headaches. And lastly, try to get some sleep! =)

Advil and a shower always helps me. Let the water beat on the back of your neck. Boom!

Yes: drinking up to a quart of pure water and deep breathing will ease the pain. A walk in the open air is best, but it has to be daylight to do that safely. Try gently massaging your temples (the side of your head in line with your ears) and that eases pressures within the skull. Buy some Essential Oil of Lavender so that you can put one or two drops of this onto your temples next time that headache strikes. It eases the pain, reduces stress and is a lovely perfume to ease you into sleep. If you don't normally have caffeine drinks, then a strong black cup of coffee will boost circulation in your head, thereby blowing away anything up to a five star migraine! But you have to have no caffeine in your system for this treatment to work. If poor digestion is causing your head pain, crystallized ginger will settle your tum and help to get you to sleep. Go easy on so-called headache tablets - they only aggravate your inner organs and make everything worse. Headaches are NOT due to aspirin deficiency!!!

Maxwell house coffee (original blend) with a teaspoon of Aunt Jemima's original flavor syrup.
This is even effective for migraines. An 80 year-old-woman told me she has been using this remedy for decades so I tried it and it has worked within 1/2 an hour every time.

Take an Advil or Excedrine, and as silly as it sounds... do dishes! By getting the water as hot as you can stand it, the blood flow will divert away from the vessels in your head and go to your hands. Meanwhile the medicine will begin to work so that when you're done with the dishes the headache doesn't come back. Neat trick my mom taught me after she's suffered from migraines most of her life. It REALLY does work! :)

Don't sit in front of the computer or TV, be active and go for a walk or a run. Drinking lots of water always helps me and eating healthier foods.

My aunt is a masseuse and she taught me a great way. If you feel behind your ear and slide your finger down you'll find that at one point it goes from being hard bone, to being the more soft part of your neck. Put your thumbs (on each side) on the bone part right before you get to the softer neck part. It sounds weird, but you should know what I'm talking about if you do it. Then press in (pretty hard) with your thumbs in that spot. It might feel a little uncomfortable while you do it, but after your head should feel better. If not it might be a nasal thing, in which case you should boil some water and inhale some steam (from safe distance, you can get burns from really really hot steam). I suggest getting a neti pot. If you don't know what that is google it. Its a bit weird at first, but you'll get used to it. Hope this helped.

Lay back against a comfortable chair or lay down on your bed or the floor-close your eyes and pinch the bridge of your nose -between your eyes. Pinch the skin between your thumb and pointer finger pinch and pull upwards keep a nice grip on the skin adding pressure until you begin to feel relief. or take one extra strenght excederin.

Sometimes a person needs more protein. Of course reducing or eliminating stress will
help. Fresh air as in oxygen can help a lot 2. As far as a preventative, too much
calcium can be a problem. For example drinking too much milk, or taking calcium
supplements with too high a calcium dosage is bad for headaches. Also if
your taking calcium supplements, try to get them from food sources from
brands like "Mega-Food" or "New Chapter".
Cheap forms of calcium like Calcium Carbonate and Calcium Phosphate can
actually bring on headaches when taken on a regular basis.
If you drink non-dairy beverages like rice milk or soy milk, get the ones
with No added calcium. Why ? The reason is they add cheap forms of
calcium which are harmful to the body and can leave calcium deposits since
they are difficult to absorb...
Get exercise because the added blood circulation will help reduce what is causing the headache.
If you are a regular headache sufferer buy a supplement that is an inflammation reducer
which can help reduce any damage that might be caused by too much inflammation.
Try "Zyflamend Whole Body" by New Chapter or any other quality inflammation
supplement.
