How do you tie dye a t-shirt?

I used to be able to know how but now I forgot and I really wanna tie dye a t-shirt.

get a white shirt and grab the section you want the swirl to start and, put rubbber bands around it to tie it tight and put your dye on it and flip it over to the other side. Put it in a plastic bag to dry over night. Then after 24 put it under the sink with cold water and ring out all the extra dye. once you do that, put it in the washer by itself and wash it in cold water. After you wash it once by itself, you can wash with the rest of your clothes

First you want to soak a shirt (or whatever your tie dying) in soda ash (helps the dye stay and be more vibrant) then while it's still damp fold it however you want your design to be and then wrap it with rubber bands and then put whatever color your using in whatever design you want put in a plastic bag let sit for at least 6 hours 24 is the best the colors will be more vibrant (make sure it stays damp) when it's been enough time cut the rubber bands rinsh out until the color runs clear then wash in the washing macince! Hope this helps..Also you might search for folding techniques!

Simple, simple simple!!!
Take a large bucket.
Create the dyes you desire in separate containers.
Pinch a section of your tshirt, then wrap rubber bands tightly around it. ( use more then on rubber bands in each section for more effects)
Dip it in the desired dye.
Let dry completely before removing the rubber bands!!
WAALA!!! Flashback to the 60's with your cool new tie dye shrit!!!

Lay it flat on the ground/table/whatever. Grab a bit in the middle and start twirling it (on the ground, not like flinging it around in the air) so that its really tight ball squareish thing. Then take 2 rubber bands and put the on like a + . Then just dip the corners into differnet colors or whatever you want :)
