Contrary to many reports, Theraflu was not one of the drugs that were recalled by Novartis. The reason it is not on the shelves is because the company, Novartis, shut down the plant in Lincoln, Nebraska, which happens to be the plant where Theraflu is manufactured. Read on from www.pharmacydrugguide.com/Novartis_Recall.
It was recalled... but htg, when I tried to pull up the daymix.com article as to why, it said that their servers "are showing early symptoms of the common cold"... I swear on my life. So I honestly have no idea why. Check it out if you need a laugh! http://daymix.com/Theraflu-Recall/

From the Novartis website:
Having Trouble Finding TheraFlu® Products?
Novartis OTC is conducting maintenance and improvements at our Lincoln, Nebraska facility, which manufactures TheraFlu®. As a result, we are experiencing a supply disruption at some retailers and Theraflu® may be temporarily unavailable. We are working as quickly as we can to return these products back on to store shelves. We ask that you check back periodically for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing you, and appreciate your patience and loyalty.
FYI - They will are working to bring other Novartis Consumer Health products back to market on a line-by-line, product-by-product basis.
Talked to a few people in the FDA, and also know an insider in the company. We are a good one to two years from release of those plants, so God knows how long till they start producing again. I have a few lots of Night Time Theraflu I could sell you through paypal. email@example.com
