In a way, I agree, but on the other hand, I disagree. Maybe there would be less bad stuff, but hanging (in my opinion) just seems creepy to me . *shudders*

For rapist and people who rape children repeatedly yes they should. I don't think thieves should be hung however Just the people who would get the death penalty.

Yes, it is used in the Middle East. A young woman was hanged a few years ago in Iran for one of those God-forsaken "honor crimes." She had a noose put around her neck, and a crane hauled her up in the air.

Utah used to offer the condemned man the choice of firing squad or hanging. It wasn't all that long ago either. Back in the 1970s, a man named Gary Gilmore was the last man to die by firing squad in Utah. Then they started using lethal injection. I don't know if they still offer hanging.

There are about 15 states that don't execute inmates at all.I believe there are a few states that still allow hanging and even firing squad as an option to the inmate instead of lethal injection.

There are two states that OFFER it instead of an lethal injection, washington and I forgot the other one, but besides that I believe in the middle east or very far away.
