My first name is boring. But I really like my last name. It is the name of a small city in northern Ontario where I ancestors mined for silver until they noticed gold. It's easy to spell. Doesn't take too much time to write out. But my first name is bland, boring, and I wasn't named after anybody, so there is no reason at all for having it.
My parents gave me a middle name for a first name and a middle name for a first name so when I told every body my name they always put it bass-ackwards. And the teachers thought I didn't know my own name ;((( so I just asked my parents to tell the teachers to just call me by my first name. After I grew older I only presented myself with my first name. Saved a lot of confusion. It was like Lou Mary, Margret Mary, Ann Betty, Sue Betty, Jo Vickie, Sue Carol. So you can see how confusing this would be! Parents to be take heed! Other than that I love it when people who know me call me by both my first and middle names correctly.
