Can my cat sense when their owners are coming home? Like within a couple of minutes. Like if they are on the way and just pull up.

Yep! My kitties always jump in the window and watch me pull in. Of course I have a home security system and turn it off as I'm driving down the road:)

They may learn the sound of your footsteps or car!

Yes... animals can sense things like that. My dogs always know when I am coming home.

My horse knows the sound of my car engine (in a barn of 150 horses and just as many owners, that's pretty amazing).

You bet. Hear you car, sounds of your keys jiggling, sound of your shoes/heels, your scent (natural or perfumed) many reasons.

There have been studies that show some animals know as soon as you start to head towards home, even if you are miles from home when that change happens
