wow! i mean my bsfrnd's birthday is also coming soon . As she lives in another city, so i'll surprise her going there. okay..okay...now lets come to the point... YOu can gift her any girly thing like perfume, choclates, neckpiece or any other thing she likes. Or you can give her a suprise party. ^_^
you should go with something original so she knows that you do know her likes and dislikes, for example if she collects something then get her something unique to add to the collection.

you should make them something. making something handmade shows that you are thinking "outside the box" and want them to treasure it forever. being creative doesn't mean that on the day before their birthday go and pick up a gift card for Wal-Mart. It means making something that shows you care about them and want them to know that. If that doesn't work, maybe just making it a memorable day is good enough, but try to make it so that it shows you put some thought into it. You could make your friend a picture slide show of you and them together to show that you enjoy hanging with them, and add their favorite song to it. If you want them to have something more manly, why don't you have a cookout and make their favorite foods, and make it a memorable day. Either way, think OUTSIDE THE BOX!
