Is there anyway that I can go to grad school to become a Nurse Anestastatist without going to nursing school first?

I have a BS degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from R.I.T. but I would like to avoid nursing school if possible so I was just curious if this is possible. Thank you!

You would have to have whatever the prereqs are for the grad program. My guess is that it at least requires an RN and probably a BSN.

Not that I am aware of ,however, contacting a few schools to ask what their policies are is your best bet.

Some technical fields permit test-outs, but I don't know if nursing is one of them. Typically on a test-out, you're given a battery of tests comprised of Finals of each level of undergrad (or whatever) school and if you can pass the Finals without attending class, then you can test out of that level of education....IF test-outs are permitted, that is.

You might check out if testing out is an option, and contact different schools about that. Go to the school that will let you test out.

If you already have a BS, you can do an accelerated RN program (typically about a year) to get your BSN. I suspect they are going to want the RN. Good luck.

No way. admissions to nurse anesthetist programs are extremely competitive and besides requiring a bachelors degree in nursing, a good gpa and gre scores most require at least 2 years of RN experience in critical care or some other related area of nursing.
