I'm a teen so my books might not be books your into but so far I think the Hunger Games is a pretty cool book. Also my friends are telling me to read a book called Crank by Ellen Hopkins. Plus a few others but I'd be here all day typing. I like to read a lot.
-- The Grapes of Wrath -- John Steinbeck (Any of his books) -- To Kill a Mockingbird -- Harper Lee -- On The Road -- Jack Kerouac (Any of his books) -- A Tree Grows in Brooklyn -- Betty Smith -- Rebecca -- Daphne Du Maurier (sp* last name? Great [classic] mystery) -- The Catcher in The Rye -- J.D. Salinger -- Selling the Lite of Heaven -- Suzanne Strempek-Shea -- French Silk (Fun mystery!) -- Sandra Brown -- I Raise My Eyes to Say Yes (AMAZING autobiography!) -- Ruth Seinkiewicz-Mercer -- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest -- Ken Kesey -- A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (Autobiography) -- Dito Montiel -- The Family -- Mario Puzo
Those should keep you busy reading for a while, ha!! :) (Sorry -- they're ALL my favorites [& there are many, MANY more!] -- I can't pick just one! )
the fallen series by Lauren Kate.its about a girl who's bf is an angel and every time they get together she dies so he has to keep make her fall in love with him every time shes reincarnated.theyve been going thru it for seven thousand years
Matched by Allie Condie. It's exactly like The Hunger Games except with more romance.
I also like the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead. It's a romance series with a lot of fighting and action..... and there's a lot of vampires, of course. (Don't worry, there's no werewolves in this one, LOL).
And I like Hereafter by Tara Hudson. It's basically the exact same as Twilight, but the kissing scenes aren't as steamy and instead of vampires, there's ghosts.
Oh, yeah the bible is a wonderful book. you should read it! Ok, so i would suggest the hunger games, lord of the rings, the hobbit, harry potter, the last christian, The odyssey, twenty thousand leges under the sea, war of the worlds, last of the Jedi, the seekers, the warriors, the time machine, And inkheart. I read a lot...
Moab Is My Washpot by Stephen Fry (autobiography) : honest, funny and above all, entertaining. It is about his life from birth to his twenties and I have read it 10 times. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Anything by Robert Anton Wilson. He was an insane philosopher genius wiseman with lots of humor in his novels. Also, "Framed As A School Shooter & Other Stories" has lots of Kaftka-like tales you might enjoy. I put alot of thought into the writing of those tales.
13 Reasons Why... it's a book that everyone should read because behind the whole story there is a good moral. If your looking for a book that is interesting and keeps you on your toes, then its for you. it left me in tears at the end.
Also I believe its called The boy in the striped Pajamas it's about the holocaust. This book also was very suspensy top five favorite books I liked it even better the help. I suggest you look these books up and check out the descriptions.
The Cazalet Chronicles in order "The light years", "Marking time" , "Confusion", & "Casting off". By Elizabeth Jane Howard...This is a story of world war II and how it was for families and how it changed society.
This Much I Know is True by Wally Lamb. It is about twin brothers and one is schizophrenic with an interesting twist at the end. 900+ pages, one of Oprah's Books.
Also, for non fiction a new book by Cheryl Strayed where she hikes the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico Border to Oregon by Herself. She meets lots of people and faces many fears after the unexpected death of her mother. The book is titled "Wild"
Non fiction Also, Mountains after Mountains by Tracy Kidder about a Dr who decides to wipe out TB in remote areas like Haiti, prisons in Moscow, Russia and does it. Very intriguing how one man can change the lives in an entire Nation. He will probably win a Nobel Peace Prize one day (the Dr. or Student Dr in some of the story. Very awesome.
Captain Blood by Rafael Sabatini, dam good swashbuckler about a Doctor turned Pirate. (also an international Best Seller) plus an excellent movie with Errol Flynn and a couple more follow up ones that are real hard to find. At one time I actually had an original copy ( 1922 ) but lost it during an apt. move, but have since gotten a hold of a 1961 copy. Other books that were good by Sabatini that I have are:
Mistress Wilding - 1946 - original was 1910 Scaramouche - 1921 - original copy ( real good book ) (also an International Best Seller) The Hounds of God - 1928 - original copy The Tavern Knight - 1925 - original was 1904 ( real good book )
I'd really like to find a copy of the books : The Sea Hawk - 1915- ( Errol Flynn started in the 1940 movie too ) and The Black Swan - 1932 ( Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara starred in the 1942 movie ).
There were actually 2 short stories written after the original Captain Blood story that he wrote : Captain Blood Returns in 1931 and The Fortunes of Captain Blood in 1936 but I haven't been able to find them. A lot of Sabatini's books were made into movies because they were that good of a story.
