yes you can enlist in the military even if your the only child i did and i am the only child left in my family.

You can, but if you are the last of your male bloodline, don't expect to see to much action. Somewhere behind a desk for you.

not true many guys in my unit where on the front line and where the last male in there family

Reproduction and family line isn't taken into consideration for enlistment.

No summersucks, that is not what I am saying. I am saying you can enlist in the military services, and you may possibly even be accepted. But every since the Civil War, when whole families of men were wiped out, the Military kind of frowned on anniliating whole family trees. They don't like sending only children into battle zones, that is all I am saying.

Does anybody remember the movie: Saving Private Ryan, they were fictional characters, but it was based on a true to life story.

That's all I am saying! My biological son is an only child. He is a Sgt. in the army and he has never been placed in a combative unit, support unit yes. And we have an extensive Military history in our family.

Thank you for your patriotic to our country. I personally salut you and your son. We need more good men like your son to protect our country and freedom. I was an officer for 7 years in the Army. Thank you again
