I want a ring for christmas from my boyfriend, not an engagement ring or anything just a ring. Do you think he would get skiddish if i asked

We have been dating almost 3 years and although I have dropped a few hints about getting engaged Im not in a huge hurry and he knows that, i just dont want him to get the wrong idea when i ask

You've been together for 3 years, I highly doubt he's going to get the wrong idea. He'll probably be happy that he doesn't have to figure out what you want. Just ask him.

Don't ask for anything, he'll get you something special, don't worry...I hope it goes well for you two!

Maybe you can show him this question and he'll know what you're thinking.

You should get one of your friends to tell him!

asking for that will ruin thwarted meaning of it I told my wife when we were dating that the only ring I would get her is an engagement ring. let your bf get you what he wants no hints so you know it will be from his heart. hinting just tells him you don't trust his ideas for gifts even if you don't mean ot that way so relax let him decide and know it's from the heart
