Well this is a bit of a sweeping statement... My mother dropped out of school and owned a successful business for quite a few years and my mates parents dropped out of school and also own a successful business and are currently building a million dollar house.

If you really feel that strong about not learning anything useful take the chance and drop out at 16.Drop out rates are high due to redundancy of useful knowledge.

Bahahaha your such an idiot if I dropped out right now for a job with my dad I would make about 2 grand a month and my family went to like 4th grade only and their millionaires so don't go on repeating freking things people tell you alright! You probably don't have any opportunity to work but I do
Report as
just saying 2 grand is nothing in real life!! now i have nothing against dropping out cause most of my family has done it and they've turned out great, but your not thinking about bills, house payments, and car payments!!! and then if you want to go do something for fun your not gonna have any money left!! now i dont have anything again dropping out but you need a better plan than 2 grand a month!!!

You can be any age. Im not about to sit here and tell you not to do it like these other people. Its your life and your choice. It may be a super bad choice but still your choice. Plus if I told you not to do it that would not be answering your question which is what I am here for.

How bad things can be for someone to even think of dropping out of high school. Dropping out of high school might seem like the right choice sometimes, but believe me when I tell you it gets way harder to get a job nowadays without a high school diploma. In my company we hire someone that said that he graduated from *insert name* high school. Well my boss found out and I had to fire him for lying. He told me in his termination meeting that he just lied because he couldn't find a job anywhere without a high school diploma. He got all upset and he went into saying that corporations are all about keeping people uneducated. I didn't understand his relevance with the statement, but I told him that he could get a GED diploma and will work just as well.
In truth, a GED diploma helps for employment. But when it comes to hiring someone, I will think twice before hiring someone who didn't finish high school. I mean, if they even couldn't finish high school, what kind of commitment are they going to show when they have to finish a work project. It sounds harsh, but 90% of employers would agree with me.

If you want to drop out at least take your GED so you can get a job.
I'm "dropping out" of HS next year, I'm going to take my GED, then going start college online.
