How do I? (read detail)

How do I form a relationship with someone when I lack the ability to carry a conversation. I've heard people say they can't carry a convo but I'm like, well, you're not that bad because they actually can. I mean, I can't really seem to hold a conversation for long, maybe not even a minute. I know communication is key to building a great relationship so how do I form a relationship?

Well you can always come up with topics that interest both of you, or you could pay less attention to your cell phone lol I have the same problem sometimes. If you find a topic that holds both of your interests you will most likely have a long conversation, and it could switch to other topics. It's usually a good idea to start with music.

Uhh,, maybe you could try to ask her about her. Or find out something she really likes and bring it up. If that doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you hun.

You need something to talk about. Read up on current affairs, get out and about in life in general, so that you have something to talk about. Being a good listener is 50% of the conversation, so you only have to fill the other 50%. You can ask a person what kind of movies they like, if they like to cook, what their family or siblings are like. Then listen. When you reply, do it with a response having to do with the topic. Also Practice, practice, practice. You will be fine. :)
