Is there a way to remain a Canadian resident for tax purposes, while continuing to work abroad for the UN?

I am a Canadian working abroad for the UN. Currently I am considered a non-resident for Canadian tax purposes. Is there a way to remain a resident, while continuing to work abroad for the UN?

It is possible to remain a Canadian resident for tax purposes, while continuing to work abroad for the UN. The rule that applies is that you should have stayed in abroad for 6 to 12 months constantly. However, you should discuss with your employer for more clarification.

You have enough connections to get a job with the UN and have to ask 12-17 year olds for advice on this subject? We are in deep trouble
