What are some good ways to cut down on pet hair in the house?

Obviously brushing is helpful, but do you have any additional tips?

About once a week on our daily walk, I bring her brush. Part of the way through the walk I stop at this bench and give her a really good brushing.

You could brush everyday and get a trim

Try brushing outside, so, when you do brush, some of it doesn't fly everywhere. If outside is not an option, give you pet more frequent baths (1-2 times a month, so as to not dry out your pet's skin). If bath is not an option, well, just vacuum frequently, especially in your pet's favorite spots.
