- Friday: slight sore throat. - Saturday: no symptoms so doesn't count (was very productive). - Sunday: lack of energy, headache, fever (78c), insane amount of sneezing with loss of smell. - Monday: stuffy head/nose then in 3 hours everything cleared up. All symptoms except loss of smell disappeared. Regretted taking day off from work cause I could have went after 1pm. Felt normal. Tuesday: went back to work.
What I do:
Every day I take 1g of vitamin C (once a day) and 5000 ui of vitamin D3 (once a day). Once I got sick on Sunday I took a total of 15000 ui of D3 and 3g of vitamin C spread over the entire day. The vitamin C is what probably made me recover so fast. D3 is only good for preventing colds and flus. And I rested as much as I could. Lying down is very important cause just standing uses up a lot of energy, which the body needs to fight the cold.

The Common Cold is a fascinating illness - it can be used as a measure of just how healthy you are. There is a saying that "Healthy people don't get sick" which means your immune system is supposed to stave off Colds and 'Flu' all by itself. I haven't had a Cold this century, despite "what is going around." You should be able to throw off a Cold in a few days - a week maximum. Otherwise it is time to take a hard look at your diet and lifestyle to see why your health is so vulnerable. Garlic and lots of fresh fruit will strengthen your resistance to Colds and 'Flu'. I also eat lots of Ginger and that seems protective against all sorts of greebies.
