when you get your locks changed what happens to the old locks?

i mean when locks are replaced, not simply rekeyed, though i'd be interested to know where the old parts go in that case too.

When you get your locks changed on your car or your house is the question. Most people when they replace the locks on there house will keep the old ones or throw them away. When it comes to your car they could be thrown away or salvaged at a junk yard. Hope this helps.

there supposed to tell u if you want to keep the old locks that were replaced, if you don't want them and they are in good condition the technician will recycle them and use them in another job.
