How can I change my dogs behavior?

my 8 year old lab is jealous and possessive of me so when out of town guests visit for a few days she pees in the house and barks constantly for my attention. I try playing with her, ignoring her , have them do the same, but it doesn't stop her behavior. Help!!!

The best thing to do is desensitize them to people something that should be done when they are puppies but its no to latte old dogs can learn new tricks. To do this start with someone they now won’t hurt them a neighbor a close friend someone who they see some what often but still feel somewhat uncomfortable around as they get better you can use different people and even multiple people. They are like kids the only way to get there comfort level up is to push them a little at a time out of it they will learn that new people just mean new friends.To do this get a Kong food dispensing toy and fill it with your dog’s favorite treat (peanut butter, dog treats, ECT). Give this to the person as they come in then once they have come in and sate down tell them to give the toy to your dog. Watch your dog carefully note any behavior like sniffing the ground, pacing, squatting, or hiking the back legs these are signs your dog is about to pee in the house if this happens excuse yourself and take your dog outside for a bathroom brake. If they go then reword them with a good boy/girl in a high pitch voice (baby talk) the second they go. Once they have done so take them and yourself in side.

You can try to create consistent rules or commands that will help to change your dog's behavior. You can also do lots of exercises with your dog like playing fetch or feeding from toys, so that he will be tired and control his behaviors.

u will hav to train her but yet give her d attention dat she needs carry her for walks n d park or go 4 a drive play ball at the beach...u no more out door tings cause if u continue 2 leave like dat n not give her d attention den she can get worse.....hope i explain myself

Please learn how to spell. It will improve how you communicate, which right now is not very effectively. Oh, and as a benefit, people tend to take you more seriously.

go to an animal behorist... and they'll tell you... or u can do it at home by watching the dog whisperer...

she wants attention and like a little kid good or bad its still attention! give her more for good and less for bad behaviors.
