Jail breaking gives u a lot of "cool" free features, but if u have a warranty on your phone it will void it. It has it's pros & cons. Look more into it before u decide to do it. U can have issues with your phone after jail breaking it. A lot of people do it for the cool features.... You can personalize a lot of things. Look up more about it & if u have an expensive phone think about it first. If u have a warranty it will no longer be covered
it will allow you to use unlicensed apps or unapproved apps which is good, if you don't do it right you will brick it which is bad. read through the instructions for the jail break and realistically ask your self can i do this. if the answer is yes good luck

If I have one gripe about the iPhone, I'd have to say that it isn't flexible. So, simply put. "Jailbreaking" makes the iPhone more flexible or set it free from Apple. Jailbfreaking = free. What you do with that freedom or flexibility is up to you. You can download paid apps for free, which is basically stealing. You can customize the iPhone user interface as they see fit. You can also use apps that do not exist in Apple's app store. Many of these apps are fantastic! They provide missing features or simply implement these features better. However, they violate Apple's API. Jailbreaking is a double edges sword. May have had great success, but for some it has been a nightmare. The questions you need to ask yourself are what are you missing from your iPhone and is it worth the risk.
FYI Jailbreaking requires much more user effort and patience. When Apple updates the iPhone you have to wait until the new update has a "jailbreak". So effectively a "jailbroken" phone will have two updates.
If you restore your iPhone to the latest version of iOS without the "jailbreak", you will not loose your warranty.
Gives the user root access which allows them to have full authority over the device and you can download tweaks (mods), screen recorders, file managers, and other cool apps from cydia. Installous let's you get any app free but it's illegal, you know.

Jailbreak has all the cool features above but when you do it, it is the same thing as restoring your ipod or iphone and plus once you update your device it goes away so you can`t update it unless you want to get rid of it.
Jail breaking really isn't as cool as it sounds, It totally screwed up my iPad,, but it also depends on who does it, mine got worse over time! And I still can't delete the software I wouldn't get it if I were you
