I read a book by a horror writer who went by the name James Hebert or Herbert who wrote a book called The Survivor, that I read as a kid. Kind of freaked me out. I can also see why HP Lovecraft can unnerve people. Horror literature doesn't really scare me or do much of anything for me anymore. The last book that even slightly resembles "horror" would be Intensity by Dean Koontz. Not a bad read, more of a "thriller" than horror. I also read a couple of books by John Saul when I was younger: Punish The Sinners and The God Project. The latter if I recall was more drama as opposed to horror if I recall.
