How do you get to volunteer at a food bank?

I want to volunteer at my local food bank but i dont know how to? like do i just go down there and ask to help or do i call them or something? please help because i already volunteer at my moms work and i help Susan G Comen and MS and a couple others but id really like the help the needy like hands on and see there reaction and be a friend. <3

I think the best thing to do is to go to the food bank personally and ask if they have any volunteer positions open. However, if the food bank is located far from where you stay, you can call and inquire.
