Well seeing that I am a cat man and hate dogs for trying to hurt cats I would say first of all from the movie with Steve Martin the Jerk a good dog name is Shithead, or roadkill, or target practice, or magot meal, or a very long name is disguisting panting sounding like dirty telephone call. I must admit I really Hate dogs though their barking and shitting and pissing on the floors of your house, and then in the yard, and the smell of dog in the house. After a dog has been in the house the best thing to do is burn down the house and build a new. Cats the superior pet. Remember dog people include Hitler, Stalin, and Osma Bin Laden, cat people Franklin Delno Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Charles DeGaul. Good guys of world war two cat people, evil vile facists or communists dog people need I say more?
lol maybe you should just name it Pitbull! Teach it how to speak very bad Spanish, and record an album! XD jkjk How's Smudge, or if you go for those crazy pitbull names, Blade? Idk I'm bad at this... haha hope I helped!
I would never suggest a Pit Bull, a German Shepard would serve just as well for a guard dog and be not near as prone to needlessly attacking people.
Blaze, Kelly, Jackie, Renny, Sparky have been some of our dogs names going way back to the early 1960s to the time I was a young boy. I like Georgia, Claudia, Marshall for any future dog we may get, which I doubt we will ever get.

Aww.. a pit bull puppy -- they're so cute!! :) I've had a few male dogs, their names were: "Tiger" -- Yellow Lab/Collie mix, I was 7, I named him after "The Brady Bunch" dog, ha!) "Tyler" -- Dalmatian "Woody" -- Rhodesian Ridgeback/pit mix, I rescued him. "Casey" -- Golden Retriever You might want to wait 'til you actually have the puppy, then choose a name based on his personality, looks, behavior, etc. That's how my "Woody" got his name... and it suited him very well! :)
I think a great idea is to try out many names once you have your new dog. Whichever name he responds to is the one you should stick with. He should have a say in what he wants to be called and it would also help when training him if he hears a name he already likes.
a good pitbull name is probably something like Bruno; Boss; Max; something kind of commanding. pitbulls are sweet though, if you let them be. if you decide on a girl i would think Zarah; Xena; or Zena;

I want to get a dog! I love dogs!
Here are some names I like: Pepper, McKenzie, Jasper, Jasmine, Bubbles, Rue, Snap, La La, Co Co Puff, Maggie, Gossamer, Gotham, Sound wave, or Sprinkles.
Here are some names of dogs I know : Jazz, Missy, Polo, Sheba, Blue, Mojo,Lulu, Snap, Destroyer, Florrie, Sugar, Royal, Max, Simba, Mina, Marcellus, and Bean. Really though it depends on your dog.
Most times if the dog is right for you the name will come naturally. If you have a family or spouse talk it over with them. See what name they like. Some times you can just give a real name like: Kevin, Bobbi, or Ana. It just depends on the dog. Best of luck with your dog! PS: Some times its fun to get a name off of TV. Sorry they aren't all boy dog names. You can pick what you like if you like any.
