It has value, even if it's 2 dollars.

To determine what it's worth you need to know what year it is and what condition it's in.

The United States made 2-dollar bills with red ink several times. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that what you have isn't older than 1928 and start from there.

The series 1928 notes are called 'Legal Tender' notes. Depending on the condition it could be worth anywhere from $2 to thousands.

Next is the series 1953 notes then 1963. Value for the 1953 could be anywhere from $2 to about $115 and the 1963 would be $2 to about $80.
