How to tell someone you don't want to go out with them

my friend asked me out a minute ago and i told her i had to think about it which i really don't because the answer is no so how do i tell her with out sounding mean

Tell her that you see her as a friend not a girlfriend. And be nice about it.

Tell her your not ready for a relationship..don't make it awkward though be like anyway...you wanna hang at lunch or something.

Say something like "wow, I am really flattered, but I view us as friends, and that is really valuable to me... I hope you understand"
