Krav maga's for fighting dummies who cant fight, no good if your opponent knows anything about fighting. It really depends on the person more than the martial art itself. Your natural aptitude, what fighting style fits you best, how hard you train, what your opponent knows, your size/strength... so many variables. Just go with what works for you. Anything will be better than no training.
any martial art you take should be fine, it really depends on what your willing to put into your training- how far your willing to push yourself, and what your really looking for... are you just looking to become super fit and flexible, at one yourself and the world around you, you want to be a butt kicker, or do you just need enough skill to protect yourself and your loved ones. remember, simplicity is best (again this depends on what your looking for). and variety of styles can be a good thing, as long as you really put in the effort to each style you train in.
all martial arts have there advantages and there disadvantages karate is not very good because its more for looks then fighting you have to time it so well and often times your opponent is not going to play by the rules so don’t try it. most are like this so do what I do get pepper spray, and learn the sensitive parts of the body... the nose, eyes , the shin right below the nee, the toes, gut, ribs and neck right below the chin and of Corse the balls. Also if they try to grab you by the fore arm or wrist just jerk striate down with no hesitation your arm will slip right out of there fingers. It may not work if your opponent moves with your arm that’s when you go for the sweet spots above. Good luck!
