You probably dont want to hear this, but THE best & probably, ONLY way to get rid of a "spare tire", or large belly is through diet & exercise, both aerobic and anaerobic. The first means, utilizing oxygen, (aka: cardio). In addition, it takes 20 minutes of cardio, at your target heart rate, to even BEGIN burning fat. So, 3 or more days a week of 30+ minutes. Anaerobic, or without oxygen would be your crunches, etc. Problem is, your stomach consists of 4 muscle groups, all of which can be utilized on a daily basis. Other muscle groups, (ex.the biceps), would need a rest period of @ least a 24 hours. Abdominal muscles do not & crunches, etc. can & should be performed on a daily basis for best results.
Start running around your neighborhood or block. After that come back to your house and do some crunches for about on minute, or as long as you can. Dont over work your self, but dont sell your self short.Only you can make your self better.
Crunches will not help belly fat. Crunches will tone and build the abdominal muscles, not burn belly fat. If anything, crunches will make your belly look bigger due to increased muscle mass. The only way to actually burn belly fat is to burn fat evenly off your whole body, such as when you do cardio. The problem is, you may not want to reduce fat evenly off your body - you might only have excess fat on the belly and be thin everywhere else. If this is the case, then the problem is not one of diet and exercise, but hormones. For example, stress produces excess of the hormone cortisol, which targets fat gain in the belly area. To reduce the fat, you must reduce the stress and cortisol production. However, there are a lot more hormones at play making a complex situation that is difficult if not impossible to combat. That's why it's so hard to get rid of trouble spots like belly fat, love handles, etc.

Walk at least 1/2 an hour instead of sitting at drawing room
Some people believe that just sitting idle is a great way to wind-down after a hard day and doing exercise is often the last thing on their minds. But a walk for half an hour instead of planking down in front of the monitor can help you de-stress, clear your mind and set you up for a relaxing evening and a great night's sleep. You can make the walk even better if you take your partner, children or your pet with you.
Crunches only work one part of the abs - the upper - not the belly area that many people want to lose. What worked for me is the super fun workout "Hip Hop Abs!" It involves "standing crunches" which work the full abdomen...it slims you down fast, and it's fun!
All these people saying crunches they are all wrong.. First off crunches only works on abdominal muscles, and if thats covered by fat then why waste your time on crunches if they wont even show.. To get off that extra fat there are multiple ways.. 1. Make a goal for yourself and study nutrition labels, stop eating to much bread and junk foods, its fine to limit yourself, or you can call sunday or saturday your "cheat" day where you can have one meal of anything you want it to be. 2. some good exercises to burn that fat in your abdominal area is running. This is one of the best ways to burn calories, and every 9 calories is 1 gram of fat. If you run 3 miles and walk 2 you burn about 300 calories which is equal to 33 grams of fat thats about 2 meals of your day. Amazing for a 30 minute easy run. GOOD LUCK!
drink lots of water, eat very healthy and do daily excercise like running or dancing. How old r u? Because if ur in ur teens then you just have baby fat that is taking a while to loose but if ur older then you just need to eat healthy and excercise.
Walking does amazing things for not only your belly, but your legs too. Just focusing on one part of your body doesn't help! So walk and lift your arms for all around toning. If you're not used to running, work your way up to it. But walking and running are the best. I've lost 23 pounds since August 1st doing this. :) God bless and good luck!
