In America, the government and the private sector are screaming for engineers. There are some fields of engineering that are not booming, so watch out for those, but there are many unfilled engineering positions that are currently being filled with foreign workers.
China and India are producing engineers by the tens of thousands, while the United States can't even produce enough to fill the positions available in America. This is a very frightening turn of events for our country, and it is the direct fault of the failed American public school system.
So, if you have an aptitude for math and/or science, give serious consideration to becoming an engineer. You can work almost anywhere in the world you want, and you can expect a salary that will start at close to $100,000 per year.
Just a note: I have a close friend who is a chemical engineer, and he has been with the same company for almost forty years (he was hired right out of college), and makes about $250,000 per year.
Well, in some countries and I don't know which but there is a high demand for computer programmers and that kind of stuff. On the bright side if you do jobs like this you will keep up with the technology.
I would have to say the best job in the world would be to be your own boss and start a company up with an elastic product like Edison did with the light bulb or phonograph, or the movies. Also like Bill Gates in Windows. Sit down and think what can be the hottest new product everyone will need in the near to far future and then try and build it and if it works then patent it and then start selling your brains out. The nice thing about this is: 1. You are your own boss no one can fire you and lots of people will be thankful for you that they now have jobs. 2. As long as the product stays elsaticyou have a income for life and more than likely your children's lives and their children's lives as well. 3. Prove to the Nation and the World that it isnt stupid Presidents or hopeful candidates who will lie their asses off to get the job as President its the business owner who are the real Captains of change for the best in this world, in creating work for Americans. Those who keep to their word that the jobs that they create will stay in our nation and for the people of our nation alone.
All health care jobs are in high demand and they are only increase because the bay booms are all getting older. I just got my CNA certificate a year ago and am now in nursing school 3 day work week sounds good to me. I used www.cnahow.com to get information on getting started in my new career.
